Sarah Scinto's thesis is a bed and breakfast in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina. She is designing the second and third levels. The second level is the more public area and the third level is the more private areas with the guest rooms. Sarah aims to respect the history of the building while modernizing it. She is also using historic materials but in modern ways. The bed and breakfast has floor to ceiling open windows, which Sarah is taking full advantage of in her design. The whole space is warm with lots of natural lighting. The kitchen area in the second floor is closed off from the guests for cooking and seperated from the dining area. Sarah aims to use storage wall systems behind the guest beds to store sheets and such.
